florida moon

July was a month of travelling.
First to my sister's wedding in Perdido Key, on the gulf coast of Florida; then to London to check out some artwork at Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery and more; finally for some relaxation and watercolors in the amazing light found in Sitges, a village south of Barcelona. Was even able to conjure some writing for my master's thesis along the way.
Highlights of the trip: seeing my sister jump into a swimming pool in her wedding dress, beating Punch and Judy with a giant fake sausage on the National Theatre grounds, drinking a glass of freshly bottled cava while watching falcons hunt prey for their young.
I wish every July could be this amazing.
It feels great to be back home and in the studio.
This weekend I will be doing a site specific installation for the second year in a row at the Philadelphia Magic Gardens- more on that later.
In the meantime, enjoy the new artwork going up on the site, and thank you to those of you who have given forever homes to some of my paintings, drawings and prints this month- you know who you are.
My gratitude for being able to do what I was put on this earth to do knows no bounds.
