| | | | "Snow Flake III©" is a 16" in diameter original work of art. The design was created by award winning artist Carl Correll who uses Dichroic Bevels and colored glass jewels . Dichroic Bevels are bevels with an iridescent coating that changes colour when viewed from different angles. ‘This is seen as one of the most exciting new decorative glass products to be introduced in a long while.’ Dichroic is a word used to describe certain rare crystals which have this chameleon-like ability. When fused onto glass bevels the effect is not only stunning, but also completely bewitching, as the shimmering colors appear to change as the viewer shifts position or passes by. As the sun hits it or as you move and view this piece the purple bevels are constantly changing from purple to blue to mauve to pink and the yellow bevels are changing from yellow to orange to magenta.
