In their paintings, artists often extol the rare times when man's mark upon nature is elegant and pleasing.
Two trees in this hillside remain from my grandparents time. Their branches entwine and frame the landscape my ancestors worked. The creek which once refreshed my grandparents' cattle is now a lake, my father's addition to the design.
