Living in Southern California is almost perfect--except when we have firestorms fueled by the Santa Ana winds.  Like almost one million other residents, we were evacuated on Monday the 22nd but I am so grateful to report that we are back in our home here in Escondido.  We lost a gazebo, some tree limbs and have tons of debris and soot which seems amazing since the closest the major fire got to us was approximately 3/4 of a mile.  I didn't even have time to get one painting out but I knew I could paint more.  Keep all those who lost so much in your prayers.  Blessings to you all!!
