ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Artistic expression both visual and through the written word have been my voice and preoccupation since childhood. I’ve explored a variety of materials and images - continually evolving and changing – the possibilities are infinite.
I approach the blank canvas with an image in mind, thumbnail sketches and photo reference materials. Often my work has a flattened or skewed perspective rather than a realistic interpretation. Drawing is basic and fundamental in my work while 3-D collaged elements, humor, symbolism, mood and iconic images serve to express my personality.
