|  | | The Onset of a Vision | | | | | This piece was inspired during a trip to SCRAP when I found a drawer full of old sewing patterns. I had already been wanting to create a piece exploring femininity and the human form, and the sewing patterns alluded to 'the feminine role' while adding a really exciting texture. I decided to merge these ideas with textures, colors, and snippets of images reminiscent of a mirage or remnants of a dream, as a reference to the casting aside of stereotyped gender roles.
