What could be sweeter and more demure than a lovely blushing bride? Four different kinds of luxurious silk will surround the beautiful bride-to-be and make your *own* darling Bleuette feel like a princess!
The LSDS pattern, Robe de Mariée of 1923 exemplifies the simple yet elegant silhouettes that became so popular in the twenties. My version used silk jacquard for the basic dress, with silk chiffon panels at the front and back . A graceful "watteau" style train is attaches with tiny hooks and thread eyes at the back shoulders. The over-blouse is embroidered silk chiffon, embellished with pearls at the center-front pleat. Surrounding the entire dress is her ethereal veil; crinkle silk chiffon with a wreath of mulberry paper rosebuds in white and apricot, along with pearl stamens. Her bridal bouquet is made with matching flowers and trimmed with silk ribbon.
