Feast your eyes upon this

heart-rending rendition of a La Semaine de Suzette design (1915) to dress your own darling Bleuette as an angel of mercy!

Adapted from the LSDS pattern of 1915 (Bleuette Ambulancière) , this outstanding nurses' dress was sewn from crisp 100% cotton pima broadcloth. Pleated skirt, crisp collar and turned-back cuffs are beautiful details that will capture your heart. Red cross patches are embroidered with silk thread. The coiffe head-piece is cotton voile - lovely crisp fabric with just the right translucency- PERFECT for a nurse's coiffe! It fastens in the back with a tiny button and hand-worked loop. Dress belts with self-fabric, and there is an armband that fastens with a tiny metal hook. The apron buttons onto the top dress button, and ties around the back with silk ribbons.

Included in this amazing ensemble is the hooded wool cape she would wear out onto the battlefield. Sewn from a fine wool challis in dove gray, it is fully lined in gold silk and closes with one metal hook and a thread loop.

So charming and feminine , this outfit is sure to make you swoon!!!

NOTE: doll, socks, and shoes are not included .

What a beautiful reproduction for your Bleuette! The crisp white material of the hat, dress and apron so expertly sewn creates an incredible outfit. The additional cape transforms her into a true "Florence Nightingale"... how more special can it get! All she needs is that lantern in her hand! Bravo on your creation!
