I used the La Semaine De Suzette pattern Robe d'été 1907 (summer dress) to create this etherial confection. My version is pure white 100% cotton batiste. The yokes, collar, front tab and lower sleeves are embellished with hand chain stitch in *seafoam* green. This shade is pale and very subtle- the perfect embellishment for this era. The sash is 100% silk satin, and ties in the back with a large soft bow. It is held stable with two handworked loops at the back. The back closes with two metal hooks and hand worked eyes.

The matching straw bonnet was formed from Swiss hat braid and another wider older hat braid (in sea foam to match the embroidery) on a hat mold of my own design. It is unlined and trimmed with silk ribbons in white that trail down the back and move delightfully in the breeze.
