This delightful bathing suit ensemble is the sweetest attire that a little Bleuette could wear on the beach! This version was made up from two different La Semaine de Suzette patterns. The bathing suit and beach shoes from 1914 (Costume de bains avec espadrilles), and the beach hat from 1908 -(Bonnet et chaussures pour bain de mer)
I used a wonderful pale pink linen (barely blush) to make this outfit. It opens at the front with three iridescent glass buttons and hand worked loops. The gathered waist is embelished with chain stitch embroiderey, as well as the sleeves, romper legs, and collar. The matching shoes are also linen, with leather soles and hand dyed silk ribbons.
So charming and feminine, this outfit is sure to make you swoon!!!
