*Très élégant* best describes this Spring ensemble to surround your *own* darling Bleuette in style! Inspired by the La Semainne de Suzette pattern Manteau Américain 1919 (American Coat) I created this coat and matching hat from a silk suiting. This lovely fabric is the palest pink blush with just a hint of charcoal gray in the subtle plaid. The coat is fully lined in luxurious silk charmeuse. The contrasting collar, pockets and belt are a linen/rayon blend in midnight black. The top stitching detail is hand sewn with silk thread. The front closes with metal snaps and the buttons on the belt and coat are pewter shank in the shape of mini buffalo nickels. How appropriate for the American coat! Her cap was made from matching fabric, lined with charmeuse and embellished with a black goose biot. I finish all of my hats with the Bluebird Textile label. A perfectly charming ensemble- fit to spoil the finest of dolls! Note: Doll, socks and shoes are not included! |
