My inspiration for this ensemble came from the La Semaine de Suzette pattern "Robe garnie de fourrure". My version was sewn with a vintage piece of fulled wool yardage in a spectacular shade of *mango*. The trim is genuine dyed rabbit fur- so soft and fluffy against her pretty cheeks! I embroidered dots and a chain stitch in matching mango- the same thread forms the hand-worked loops that close in the back with gold tone buttons.

Her matching hat is the same wool and fur- the brim is lined with a lively printed silk which can be seen in a back view. Embellishing the brim is a red silk bow, two beautiful feathers and a burnished fleur-de-lis! The hat is unlined and finished with the Bluebird Textiles label.

A perfectly charming ensemble- fit to spoil the finest of dolls!
