About Me

At 'ArtCorner' (Click on to enlarge)

I was born over there (GMT) in 1962 and I've been over here (PST) since 1977(Most people over there think I'm from here and vice versa). I've done this that and the other. I know that half of human activity is good. I am a complete hypocrite/or not and know that I'm no better/or not than all others. I love being around young kids or childlike spontaneouses or people of humility or natural grace. 'Reality' is fluid (i.e. Half of all perception is in the eye of the beholder and half of all verbal and non-verbal 'communication' between people, that doesn't involve factual exactitudes, is usually either misunderstood, taken out of context,  and/or 'badly' expressed, and/or unconscious: we all 'read' minds and 'speak' in thoughts, just not in the media of what we commonly know as 'language'). Half of all human activity is 'fundamentalist' in nature (whether religious, scientific, psychological, or 'cultural'). I was deeply spiritual. I've died and come back and experienced many so-called (initiatory) miracles...twice even had witnesses and once a photo (Of course the atheist in me finds this disturbing and humiliating--naturally its all just an amazing coincidence and It's just my imagination that on rare occasions I've known about things happening miles away at the exact moment they happened and have 'seen' events hours or even months in advance and told people about them before they happened etc., it's purely coincidental, a lucky guess, mental, etc.etc.). Blah blah blah. Studied (not in schools) Jungian psychology, Hermeticism(Esoteric Christian.), Kabbalism(Eso.Judaism), Sufism(Eso.Islamic.), Taoism(Lao Tzu,Yin-Yang), Shamanism(Up the Yang), Sympathetic Magic(Up someone else's Yang----viz. hunter-gatherers, the collective unconscious, synchronicity, dreams etc.) Tarot, I Ching, Tao Te Ching, other forms of divination...all kinds of symbolism, world history, world anthropology (esp.African)... AHEM:...Oh yeah, my art is basically spontaneous and rarely planned in advance, and when it rarely is it rarely ends up how I initially imagined it. I have little patience (or money) for creating illustration or painting which is how I ended up doing collage and photography. My childhood (pre-living in San Francisco) artist influences that I remember and can think of right now are Picasso; All the Impressionists (esp.Monet;Gogh;Sargent); the Congo Museum; Magritte; Escher; surrealism in general; Milton glaser; realism; children's books' illustrators...Did I mention I have a sleeeep disorrrdr.....zzzzz  zz ..
