Hi. I'm Christie and my hobby and passion is painting. I am totally self-taught, having had no training after high school art classes.
Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, I served a term in the U.S. Army and then settled in Southeast Texas. I currently share my home with 2 Italian Greyhounds and am employed in the insurance industry.
My preferred painting medium is oil. My natural talent is painting life-like landscape scenes, often creating a surrealistic appearance. I especially enjoy replicating nature's color pallette at sunrise and sunset. While I paint all sizes of canvas, 5x7 is my favorite.
