SPRING TIME
SPRING TIME 5/29/08

Well it's well into Spring and almost full summer and well, but been crazy around here.  Between work and construction on major road way; it's been interesting. And what about these allergies?  PHEW!  I'm doing much better this wk.

As far as the photos, I've been out and about here and there and def. taking lots of nature pix around my home.  They shall be up hopefully within a week or so.

The option to buy framed shall also be up within the week.  It's taken me much longer than I had anticipated and I'm sorry about that.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their extended weekend and happy they had a SHORTer week this past week.

Take Care and enjoy the wkend!

It's OFFICIAL!
It's OFFICIAL! 4/30/08

I got word back today that BOTH of my floral entries have been chosen for the William Foundation display/sale.  YESSSS!  This is a FANTASTIC opportunity and I'm SIKED!

Hopefully someone will enjoy my work and purchase for their home or office.  Also, within a week the ability to buy framed will be set up.

I've been busy with a wedding I shot a few wks ago, and a few of those examples are posted under Wedding/Events Examples.  Feel free to browse around and comment.  I also have several new florals that will be posted by next week.  Spring has sprung and good weather got me out and about for a few nature shoots; be sure to take a look at those prints and also comment.  Remember, good and bad is accepted here.

Take Care,

LOS

W.P.Foundation
W.P.Foundation 4/19/08

For all of those that voted via my message on Myspace or through my blog, thank you.  I took everyone's votes and comments into consideration on what fotos I was going to choose in Vote: Possibilities, and two of my florals have been chosen.

I currently do not have the full details, but I believe both were chosen and it's a year contract.  I've very excited to apart of this and have the honor to be displayed in Philadelphia.  I will have to stop in at the William Penn Foundation to see my work up next time I am in the city.

When I get more info. I'll let everyone know about the display and as my sites keeps to develop I'll post that as well.  The option of framed work will be available by mid week.  This new feature will allow buyers, clients and friends to get photographs framed and shipped straight to their location or location of a loved one.

If there are any questions or comments, feel free to email me or send a msg via the site.

There are several NEW Spring pictures coming soon, so come back with in a few days to see MORE floral Spring work.

Have a GREAT SUNNY wkend!!!

C.M.P FRAMED!
C.M.P FRAMED! 3/23/08

HAPPY SPRING!

Before you know it, we'll be having BBQs, get a bit of color, busy weekends and start to cut the grasss oh too often; haha.  Soon enough my site will have the option of buying FRAMED prints, FUN!

I've been asked by many people why I don't sell framed, so I've taken it into consideration and I have chosen a few frames I often use for clients and exhibits.  Within two weeks examples of the available frames will be up with the option of purchasing mat as well.

Spring has started and I'm out and about taking photos again and pushing myself to learn more.  As always, feedback is ALWAYS good; even if it's negative.

Enjoy looking around.

Take Care,

   LOS

VOTE! ...please.
VOTE! ...please. 3/4/08

I've uploaded a few photos under: VOTE: Possibilities.  Please check out my page and let me know what photos you like best.  I've narrowed down the pictures I think I am going to use for my submission to a foundation that is going to display my work.

The issue, they only want six and I cannot make up my mind.  I shall submit the others anyway in case they would like to see, but I need a MAIN six.

Let me know your thoughts.

THANKS!

CANVAS
CANVAS 2/7/08

I've added a new product that you or someone you know may be interested in.  I've signed up with a comapany to have my photos printed on canvas.  You can get the print on flat canvas, or mounted on wood.

If mounted, you could buy a frame with or without glass or just hang as is.  I ordered one a week ago for my office at work and it arrives tomorrow; I CANNOT wait!!!

Feel free to check out the link.

The New 20
The New 20 1/21/08

SOLD!

The photo I had displayed at Bryn Mawr Rehab Center has sold!  I just inquired about it to see if  I could get it for another show and it's a no, but for a GOOD reason - haha.  Another good thing is that the curator wants more work that is similar; someone is interested in seeing more, COOL!  I don't have TOO many like it, but I've emailed my site link and some examples of others in that collection.

It's funny that my modern piece sold because it was just something I was playing with.  I push myself to try different things and look, it worked out.  So, I shall try a few more with a modern twist and go with my gut and see what comes about.

Stay tuned . . . .

FUND RAISER...
FUND RAISER... 1/20/08

...Because of what has happened to me lately; medically, I've decided that I am going to research on how to start a non profit.  I would like to be able to help people like myself, who want to be an ACTIVE member in society, but due to lack of insurance benefits are not able to pay for such things as supplies or physical therapy.

Scoliosis is something we all know about.  We all have the test in grade school; where they make you bend forward to see if your spine is straight - mine never was.  I never saw myself as "different" (I have several other surgeries as well)until 5th grade.  It was at that point that kids and myself started to notice that I was not "normal".  No child should have gone through the depression and sad days and lonely nights I went through.  Don't get me wrong, I've made some really good friends and people did love me for me, but it wasn't easy.  It's easy to remember all the negative before the positive, but I'll always remember the good times I did have growing up.

I never really knew what the future held since doctors stated that I would not see the age of 5, then high school graduation. Well, guess what?!  I'm 26, went to college (PSU) and studied in Europe like I wanted to and I'm NOT living at home.  Ideally I'd love to live somewhere warmer, but I am not able to due to student loans.

I want to start a foundation that is going to help people like myself.  I want to go to phyicaly therapy (since I've never had it), keep my back in shape and BE an active member in society.  Due to lack of benefits in my insurance, I am not able to get the sessions I need, thus leaving me in great pain.  I thank god that I found a great temp solution; massage therapy; it's been a blessing.  I was not able to get a good nights sleep in literally YEARS (about 8) until I started this a few months ago.  After just my FIRST session, I felt like I lost 20 lbs of pressure on my back.  Then my sessions ran out and now I am paying for sessions as I can.

With a foundation like the one I want to create, I'll be able to help people like myself; young and older.  I figure between my photography and my passion to get this going, I'll be able to start something.  I'm going to contact a few people I have in mind and see how I CAN get this started.  If you would like to help in any form or know of a good person I may be able to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Live life and HAVE fun!

Cancer...
Cancer... 8/14/07

I feel like I keep repeating myself but here goes...  People, LIVE LIFE and don't go to bed mad at a friend or loved one, it's not worth it.

Just a few months ago a good/favorite aunt of mine went in for a physical and found out that she had a lump and it could be serious.  The family was told it was cancer, but was scared to tell her.
Finally after like two weeks they finally told her; her cancer was full blown and she and the family decided to ride out the cancer and not bother leaving Puerto Rico for treatment.  She passed this evening...

It sucks and it happens all of a sudden to people we love and who we believe do NOT deserve it.  She never smoked, never did drugs, was a size 4 and took care of herself.  You NEVER know what or when something like this can happen.

I do feel sorrow for my two cousins and my uncle for losing such a great and loving woman. God bless my aunt and all those fighting cancer...

She is a great aunt and a great person that my family and I shall never forget.

In memory of my Titi (aunt in spanish) Tita.

LOVE YOU!!!

Carlito

BACK; AGAIN...
BACK; AGAIN... 8/14/07

I am back from Bermuda and still working on my photos, but I PROMISE they shall be up within the next wk.  I've added a few for now, but I have to edit a few things before I add them permanently.

Bermuda is ABSOLUTELY beautiful!  The beaches there are like nothing I've ever seen before...  It's like walking into a postcard!

The cruise was very good for a small ship; smallest of Royal Carribean's fleet (Empress of the Sea).  The food was top notch food, but smaller portions; which allowed us to have more than one entre or more than one dessert, which was GREAT!!!

Taxi cab drivers there are quite friendly and very nice.  The island is very small, so it's really easy to get around.  Bermuda really does not have a major night life, but does have a few nice spots; depending what you are looking for.

Shops, cafes, boutiques, beaches and water sports are all within walking distance.  If you plan to go to Bermuda be sure to plan AHEAD for any excursions; for they fill up quite quickly.

Weather there was VERY nice and HOT!  No humidity which is a treat.  If you don't have a snorkeling set, you can buy one at a stand or small shop for about 25.00 and snorkel in almost any cove/bay area and be in safe shallow waters; or feel free to go further into the reefs and deep water for much larger fish.

I  hope this RANDOM blog gave some info. on my trip.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me...  I may post more in the days to come.

take care,

  LOS
