| August 2007 9/1/07 I have been studying some on the aboriginal paintings that the Australian government purchased in the 80's. It is interesting to note that the clans all had their own rights to a certain spirit. Much of the comercial bark paintings are watered down varieties of the individual's claim to certain images. As popularity of the aboriginal's art became larger and larger, many artists began to incorporate abstract and geometric images.
Finished the first reread of Foxfire book 1. It brings back remories of the farm in Virginia.
I am again going to New York to hang another show. Four days on the road again. Sure hope the truck's a/c keeps working. It has been awful hot while I am sealing the fresco's. My studio a/c is not keeping up with the temps. |
