Born in Port-au-Prince Haiti April 20, 1970. I began painting at the age of 10 with my brother Prego Duffaut, (also a painter) in Canada using watercolor. After 2 years, I returned to Haiti and continued to paint under the supervision of my father, Prefete Duffaut, one of the masters of Haitian Art. I worked with him in the "Imaginary Cities" and added another stroke in the style "Body With Double Nature". In 1997 through my father, I met the famous painter- Jean Claude Garoute ( Tiga ) who gave me the name Dufo. I invented my own style called "Spontaneous Creations" In 1998 I studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts (ENARTS) and was taught by Ralph Allen and Dieudonne Cedor.
