| Hi my name is Vicky and I am from Wolverhampton, which is in England. The reason I love stamping is that you can put your own interpretation onto an image. You can decide where and when to accent and to shade. You can choose the colours to match your mood, papers or the person the card is for and therefore it is more personalised. My friend Cathy got me into stamping following the birth of my youngest son when I was feeling low. It is a wonderful hobby that can be done as and when I am able, and has opened up a whole world of friends who not only take pride in their own work, but will also send you cards and images of their own to cheer you up. | Hello Elizabeth! Let me start by saying that I so admire your talent - your images evoke such strong memories linked to my childhood with their whimsy and bright colors! I am originally from Illinois, but I now reside in Racine, Wisconsin with my husband, two cats and a dog! We are 5 miles from beautiful Lake Michigan, which makes for interesting weather most days! I like stamping because by day I am a fragrance carton designer by day. I work with other people's art, having to follow their vision for each project that I design. When the work day is done, I go up to my craft room and I get to follow my own vision with no one telling me that they want something moved or the color changed. I can create my little pieces of art however I see fit and that gives me a great feeling of accomplishment!
