 | I don't recal exacly when but I know I was pretty young. But it's funny because as I grew older, I think the magic of christmas came back stronger then when I was a kid. At 27, I now love more then ever going to cut down our tree, looking at the decorated houses with all the lights and I love watching movies about Santa... I find myself wanting to believe in him once again. I can't wait to have kids so I can live that magic with them! ;) | -- Claudine, 10/13/09
|
 | Honestly, I cannot remember! But with a 6 years older-than-me-brother, and 9 years older-than-me-sister... I'm pretty sure who would have spilled the beans!! No matter - my dear mother still gets the "Santa Bags" filled each year for us... and I absolutely love playing Santa for our kids! | -- Loz (Aus), 10/13/09

 | When I was about 8 years old I shared a room with my sister. On Christmas eve we always had a hard time falling asleep and this very special Christmas was no different than the rest, except while we were trying to fall asleep we heard jingle bells. It was so real real, my sister and I actually became scared. We heard a thump on the roof and then along with the bells we heard a loud Ho, Ho, Ho. At that very same minute we heard on Dasher, on Dancer, on Vixen, on Prancer, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donder and Blitzen. I still talk about this special Christmas with my sister but I always wondered why my Dad forgot Rudolf... I will never forget this Christmas so many years ago... | -- Pattie Gomez, 10/13/09

 | Father Christmas was the best person on this earth until I had an arguement with my older sister one day. She tried to tell me he is not real. I stood my ground and finally convinced her that he was real with many helpers. This was the age of 11-12. Still believe to this day. So does my daughter as she said she did not believe in him one year and I took all her gifts and hid them until she finally said Ok, mom I do believe in Santa. At 27, she still believes now. LOL Such nice blog candy and would love to give some of them stampa a go. | -- Bev, 10/13/09

 | I found out that Santa has helpers when I was about 6 years old. I wanted a table and chairs so bad. Christmas Eve, I woke because I heard a lot of noise. I got up and went to look and there was my dad putting together this awesome set of chairs that went to the table. I loved my dad so much that I never told him that I knew he put the table and chairs together until a few years before he passed away. We had such a good laugh together. You see he seen me peeking at him. He never said a word to me. He was a terrific dad. | -- Jean, 10/13/09

 | I really don't remember when I really found out who Father Christmas really was but I was very suspicious since age 8 when Santa was making us say prayers before receiving our gifts. The heavier the present the more prayers we had to say :-( After that christmas we had found presents left for us b/c the 6 of us kids didn't want anything if santa made us pray. Kinda weird story but we are a very close family :D I to this day really really love everything about Christmas!!!!!!! My blog is: www.marylouscorner.blogspot.com and I live in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Thanks a ton for chance at such super special gifts~~good luck to all!!!!!!!! | -- Mary Lou Schroeder, 10/13/09

 | I remember i wanted to stay up to see Santa , when I was 11, and so I slept on the lounge.I stayed up late, which must have driven my parents bonkers at the time(LOL), but eventually fell asleep.I heard a noise which woke me up and found my Mum and Step father both placing gifts under the tree.I said something and they froze and turned slowly to look at me.Mum sat down with me and explained and asked me not to say anything to my little sister. It didn't leave me disappointed as I love Christmas so much...even today at my age. I always make it special for my two boys who still believe at 8 and 10. Thanks to the very generous ladies for giving us all a chance to win this gorgeous candy. x Melissa | -- Melissa C, 10/13/09

 | You know I really can't remember how old I was but I would guess about 10 but I do remember how I found out. I had got up in the what I had believed to be the middle of the 'night' to visit the toilet and there was my mother and grandmother bringing the present down from the loft, I had only been in bed about an hour apparently and had been sound when they looked in on me. I blame them they must had made too much noise and oh they tried to make all the excuses they could but Christmas was never the same again. Beautiful candy which I would dearly love to win so please pick me lol. Kim - Lowestoft, United Kingdom http://kimscardcorner.blogspot.com/ | -- Kim T, 10/13/09

 | It's hard to remember my exact age but I think I was around 12 when I finally realized who "Santa" really was. My 11 year old son decided to tell me last year that he knew who "Santa" really was. But he has been really good at playing along so that my 5 year old daughter will not figure it out. Thanks for the chance to win this yummy candy!! | Hi, I'm from Hawaii. If I remember correctly, I was about 7 or 8 when I overheard my classmates saying Santa was our parent. I went home and asked my mom and she said "don't believe everything you hear" and she quickly avoided the subject. But I think I already knew and I didn't want to spoil the fun. | -- Shirley N, 10/13/09

 | Elizabeth, I am in awe of your talent and always marvel at your artworks. Thank you for sharing. The magic of Christmas has never waivered for me. I learned early in my youth that the wonderful presents under the Christmas tree were provided by my parents. But that didn't deter my belief in Santa--I believe that he is the persona of the one chosen to distribute toys and joys to all. I still make and buy things to give to others "in the spirit of Santa". Christmas is my family's favorite event of the year because we reflect on God's blessings upon us and tend to give generously in the exchange of gifts among loved ones, good friends and neighbors, and families in need. May the spirit of Christmas and St. Nick never fade within us. | -- Sharon Mi., 10/13/09

 | I don't really remeber the exact moment when I found that Father Christmas is not real... I only rememer I was aroud 6 and at school, my friends talked about it. I do not have more memory than that, but I clearly remember that I wanted to believe again because I tought that I will not get gifts anymore if I did not belive! here is my link: http://www.zhibit.org/elisabethbell/blog | -- Guylaine, 10/13/09

 | Santa's helpers began blocking my bedroom door with a big huge suitcase when I was about 7. It was because on Christmas 6 I did great until I finished emptying my stocking and began shaking it and exclaiming "where is the little pink ring?". When I visited home one Christmas when I was 23 I woke in the morning to find the helpers had once again blocked my bedroom door with that same big old black suitcase! http://paperandstring.blogspot.com/ Alexandra from Idaho | -- Alexandra, 10/13/09

 | It's not a matter of when I learn who Father Christmas really was...it was when I learned that he existed! As a "p.k." (preacher's kid) of a very religious man, I was not allowed to believe in Santa Claus. It wasn't until I was a freshman in college, staying at my oldest brother's house along with his 3 and 5 year old sons that I learned Santa Claus DID exist and that I was his helper! My brother, his wife and I were up late Christmas Eve, getting to bed about 2:30 a.m. (getting all the toys ready, et al). I had the couch in the living room, and about 5:00 a.m., my little nephews can creeping out, with the younger one saying in awe, "He came!" And ever since, I KNOW he exists...my nephew said so! | -- Naomi, 10/13/09

 | I think I was about 7 or 8, unfortunatly I have an older brother who spoilt the magic for me. But I still love all the pretence and go to great lengths to keep my son believing, he's 11 and I don't want him to spoil it for my 7 year old daughter. Last year we found 2 reindeer bells still attached to some red ribbon that had obviously come unattached from Santas sleigh, wink, wink and landed in our front garden. This lucky find, kept both my children believing in the magic for yet another year. Not sure what may happen this year, we'll have to wait and see !! hehe. | Hi, I am originally from Germany and we celebrate a little different. See Santa or Nikolaus as we German's call him came to our house on December 6th. The night before we had to put our boots infront of the door and by the next morning Nikolaus brought all kind of goodies. We also had a get-together every year in the town hall where Nikolaus actually came in a big red suit with white fur, you know the traditional looking Santa ;D. Christmas is celebrated on the 24th of December and in Germany we exchange gifts on Heilig Abend which is Christmas Eve here in the states. es, we do have 2 extra Christmas days, which are the 25th and 26 th of December but that is when usually the family comes to see you or you go to releatives homes and celebrate there. Oh, I forgot to say that Santa is really not bringing the gifts on Christmas in Germany it is the Christkind, which translates to Christ child. And the Christkind rang a little bell when the gifts where put under the Christmas Tree. Hugs,Sabrina | -- Sabrina Aka Okimom2girlz, 10/13/09

 | I was about 10yrs old when i saw my big sister standing on a box looking into my parents office window when ni asked what she was doing she told me she was watching our parents wrap our x-mas presents and then she told me to stop being a baby and deal with the fact the santa wasn't really real. UGH ! what a bummer but i love having my children still beleive at least my youngest does the older three aren't allowed to ruin it for him or for me.......! | -- Dawn Stover, 10/13/09

 | I was 9 years old, and I was trying to stay awake until Santa came. I heard a noise outside, so I looked out my bedroom window and saw my Daddy carrying wrap packages into the house. I felt alittle sad about the whole thing, but at the same time I felt superior in knowing the truth. | -- Patti Jacobs, 10/13/09

 | I think I was 9 or 10 when I found out. I don't particularly remember the moment I found out, but I do recall the Christmas I had just turned ten and I remember telling my mother thank you for the gifts (out of earshot of my younger sisters, of course). And just last year (after Christmas was over) my own 9 year old daughter realized somehow that it is us and not the big guy. lol. She feels "mature" that she knows and her little brother doesn't. lol | -- Penny D., 10/13/09

 | Oh I remember it well, I was about nine (the baby and only girl in the family) one of my older brothers was 14, I had done something naughty, but blamed him and he got the telling off, and the punishment of no sweets for a few days. That night he told me that Santa was make believe and didn't exist. I cried for hours. He lost all his privileges for a week. We laugh about it now, but it was heartbreaking at the time. Hugs Suzi x | -- Suzi, 10/13/09

 | What Santa's NOT real? Just kidding! I honestly can't remember when I found that that Santa wasn't real. I guess I was a very curious child and one Christmas I was about five years old. Back then we still lived close to our family (before my mom's job got transferred across the country) and we had big family Christmases. Well Santa came to visit and brought our gifts and I asked my mom "Why is Santa wearing Daddy's boots?". LOL! As a parent I LOVE the whole Santa thing with my kids. My oldest found out last year and that was more disappointing than learning myself but he still plays along and helps us make it special for his two younger brothers and of course Santa still brings him gifts too. *wink* Thank you Elizabeth for the chance to win this fabulous candy! I love them! | -- Carrie From Florida, 10/13/09

 | Hello Elisabeth, Thank you for the chance to win your beautiful collection of stamps! Wow!! I discovered who "Father Christmas" was around the age of eight or nine. My older cousin made it clear who Santa was and I remember being quite sad about it:( Why are kids so mean?! At any rate, it was fun believing in Santa and the memories were great while they lasted. hugs Risa:) | -- Risa, 10/13/09

 | What a generous blog candy you have here. . I can still remember the DAY I found out. I was in second grade. The girls on the playground were teasing me that I was so silly for believing in Santa. I cried all the way home. My mom confirmed my fears..But to this day my own children 8,18,19,21 still have never been told by me that there is no Father Christmas. I tell them they must believe...hehe.. I am from the warm state of North Carolina. Thanks so much to the sponsors and to you Elizabeth for bringing us all your fantastic designs. Happy fall and ho ho ho... Dawn dawnburnworth@yahoo.com | -- Dawn B., 10/13/09
