Many of my father's old clients have asked me for authentication papers for their pieces of furniture. My father kept pretty good records of his work throughout his life. Usually I can find the old invoice by correlating his numbering system with the invoice #. This is not always the case ,for sometimes the invoice may have disappeared. If the paper work is not there ,I can tell if the piece was my father just by looking at it. His numbering system and his signature ,ESPENET ,on the bottom always confirm the piece . When a client asks for an appraisal ,I can give that client a good ballpark figure. I am just looking at the latest auction results for a similar object. I charge 200.00 for the authentication process which includes my father's book.
