| I am a self taught artist, living in Co.Westmeath in Ireland. I am influenced by people, places and stories that touch my life and leave a mark on my soul.
I paint using acrylic and oils and I prefer using a pallet knife to a brush. I love to take a feeling, an emotion,or a story someone shared and work with it on canvas to capture it in colour.
Texture is important to me and I love to close my eyes and run my fingers over the piece when it's dry and enjoy how the painting feels.
Since launching my work in 2009, my art has found it's way into many private collections here in Ireland, around Europe and as far as Antigua and South Africa.
My work has been selected to be presented in the International Contemporary Masters Vol IV to be published by World Wide Art Books in March 2011 and in International Contemporary Artists vol 2 published by ICA publishing in May 2011.
In April 2010 I set up a temporary art gallery at the Garden Centre in Crowenstown, Delvin, Co.Westmeath. 'The Garden Gallery' was made permanent and officially opened by Graham knuttel on Oct 23rd 2010.
