My History as an Artist with --many --Brushes

4/5/09

Shows are a lot fun, plenty of work and planning, and they are the greatest way to present art to the public.

My first juried show was in 1959 in Beverly Hills -- and I sold my first painting for $75.00 I was encouraged and as happy as I could be.  A few more shows then off to the Air Force. I became interested in Photography.

1961 won Photo contest for bet of Base Competition, moved up to First Place in Virginia and finally 3rd place at the National Air Command.

Marriage and kid changed my art talents into yet another area. Small and easy to carry carvings for the kids.  This became a Pewter Minature business for the next 25 years.     Over these years I did over 200 shows from Idaho to New York, mostly in small Pewter Sculptures. (See Samples).

Recognition of this old world art form followed, and I appeared on radio and TV  over 50 times .  Including the Phil Donahue Show in Chicago.  His show featured 6 artists from the Chicago land area.
