5/14/12 | Let's face it until they make a zhibit app I'll never update my blog as much as Facebook or Twitter. But today I am and for the visitors that view my site guess what? I have two shows scheduled where you can see my work in person. The first is a show at Danny Screams Studios in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I have a couple pieces not yet seen and is in the process of being built! That will be May 19th the address 220 Leonard St.
The second show I'll be at the Gowanus Ballroom showing art with the OXHeart collaborative. This will be June 15th & 16th. Will definitely try my hardest to update my blog and events but probably won't.

12/23/11 | Had a great time completing my first commissioned mural for a woman's meditation space. Taking someones concept and putting your spin on it but still meeting the clients expectations is awesome. The look on her face was priceless. In case no one knew I do accept commissions of all shapes and sizes. Feel free to contact me with any questions and quotes.

S.E.E. Events is putting together another event before 2012 (be4
twe1lv2)at the Lower East sides staple for art Gallery Bar. Artists
Emmanuel Toribio and yours truly S. Mars(Symptoms of Culture Shock)will be
displaying art for one night only.
DJ Cazual aka Fame Jenkins will be on the ones and twos so no one should be sitting on their a$$.
Three designers with different styles and backgrounds will be featuring their brands.
Along with other great surprises for a full fledged night of entertainment.

10/17/11 | I have a show October 29 at The Alchemy Lounge in Brooklyn. It's been so long since my art has been in a "lounge" kind of environment. It has its pros and cons but its always nice to expose your art to different people. As long as people see it and love it that's all I can ask for. All these seeds will grow into something. Lol optimistic rant but definitely come by check out some art.

9/16/11 | So many visitors and passerby's! Please feel free to keep in touch and add me on Facebook. So many people who I've befriended were afraid to talk to me or keep in contact for fear they'd be haggled to buy art. Don't be scurred. Say hi, ask questions, get to know your local artist!

9/16/11 | As you know (or if you didn't) I did a show in the lower east side this month at the JujoMukti Tea Lounge. I love exposing my art every chance I get but this group show in particular was everything i love to hate about the art scene. Sitting by my art work and being the only artist of color in the show I was asked MULTIPLE times if I was a manager or worked for the establishment. Out of pure entertainment i said simply "Yes, how can I help you?" I mean what would a black chick be doing at an art opening? It was funny when they realized I was actually the artist of the paintings they were just admiring as I gave them my card later that night. Other than the pretentious art snobs it was a very cool show. It's up until Oct. 1st. So if you haven't seen my work in person please go check it out. 1/1/11 | Its a new year...a new day...with brand new business cards. I will not
only be more diligent about doing gallery shows and displaying work to the
masses...BUT keeping up with my blogs. Lets keep our heads up and motivation
abound for the change of time. Hopefully you'll all com along for the journey.

11/7/09 | The show was a massive turn out. If you haven't been to the heath gallery an amazing space. Last night the talent and artistry was off the chains. Go check out the show should be up for another 2 weeks. The location is 24 W120th St. closest train is the 2/3.
