THE COLLABORATION
As collaborators (Artist & Rep), Jaki Christeve and Elyse Katz plan
to introduce Jaki’s art to as many people
as possible for multiple purposes. Adults enjoy the modern
expressionistic style of the Morphs and may be interested in limited
edition prints. The Morphs also seem to have strong appeal to younger
people, who have suggested the images be transferred onto fabric for
specialized clothing, such as surf and skate/snow board
shorts, shirts, caps, etc. Transfer onto cloth used to make scrubs for
medical and veterinary clinic assistants has also been suggested,
bringing an element of humor and lightness to often stressful
situations. Linens (sheet sets, bedspreads, table cloths, napkins,
etc.) might be
other options.
We also think the Morphs, with their brilliant colors and light-hearted
humor, may be appropriate for the walls (framed or as wallpaper) of
children's rooms, and
perhaps even for hospital wards, where they may facilitate healing,
soothe wounded spirits, and stimulate the imaginations of children in
crisis.
The artist has initiated a series of limited edition
archival (Giclee) prints for walls. We are also exploring
opportunities for transfer to fabric and clothing manufacture and
welcome inquiries toward these goals.
