| | | | | | | This was a commission for Albany Lawyer, Bob Gibson. Bob collects paintings of National Monuments and buildings. He asked to do my take on the White House. I started it last winter and as I painted it over the course of the last 10 months the painting changed with the seasons, finally settling on fall as the season. It makes sense because of the upcoming election and this being the autumn of the Bush administration. The White House is not in good shape either in this painting, it it is cold and erie that was my intent. The nature around the White House is warm and alive almost waiting to be able to enter the building. I might do a sequel to this in a couple of years when the White House has a different feeling then it does now. | | Be the first to post a comment.
