| | | A commision for a couple that stayed in the Fairmont which is on the right. I had painted a similar painting in the past. I did most of it from memory and a couple photos of the hotel and skyline in a bit of a montage. But ultimately I reconfigured the composition from my imagination and memory, discarding the photos I had initially used.
It was interesting to paint. It was like rewinding the clock to 2005 for me. Kind of like time travel.
It is oil on canvas about 20 by 30 inches. | |
