Artist’s Statement

Art is an exploration for me in the sense that whenever I begin a new project, I never know what's going to happen.  I never know what challenges will occur or what beautiful mistakes may happen. 

Creating provides a private journey for me in which I learn more about myself, how I deal with difficulties, or how I revel in the ease of something that comes naturally, simply.

Art teaches me to appreciate what's before my very eyes, while simultaneously considering possibilities that stir behind the mind's eye.  

The sensual meditation of art lies somewhere in between the spaces of reality and fiction.  This is a place I love and cherish, and I hope you may find it in my work.
