The first camera Jesus Pinto picked up was an old Canon given to him by his uncle, a renowned photographer in Mexico. He felt at home behind the lens and began to teach himself everything he could learn that had to do with the art of photography. Beginning with the lush landscapes of San Diego and eventually moving to black and white nudes because of the artistic aesthetic offered by the human body, Pinto now has a diverse portfolio of works to suit an array of decorating and design tastes from the novice collector to the seasoned art lover. Pinto mainly works in the digital photography medium as it allows for the convenience of creativity whenever inspiration arises. He finds working on a laptop similar to having a portable darkroom at his disposal, able to take his photography to a higher level of expression.
