I studied photography and photojournalism at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and earned a BA in 2005.

For my senior internship, I worked for a Chilean newspaper - The Santiago Times. I served as the staff photographer and photo editor. My photographs have appeared in The Santiago Times, Barrio Chile, Il Manifesto, GoNomad.com and the 2007 and 2008 Fairbanks Visitors Guide and 2008 Fairbanks Winter Guide.

Just recently, I spent a year traveling and teaching English in the southwest province of Yunnan, China.
