Today Mt. Kilimanjaro is a snow capped inactive volcano, but once it was a hot and fiery volcano. So, when the mountain goes to sleep each night, does it dream of its youth? Are we not also like the old mountain, dreaming of times past? The quilting reflects the many layers of the earth and how powerful tectonic forces have altered them over the ages.
