Julia Goldie is a abstract artist that utilizes elements derived from nature. Her specialty is painting but she often works in mixed media. She spent the last few years traveling not only the United States, but much of Europe in search of artistic inspiration. Then she found Seattle and decided this was the place to carry out her aspirations as an artist. She received her BFA from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has exhibited in several different states at a variety of venues. Such as Conkling Gallery, 410 Project, the Artist Gallery, OK Hotel, Bon Bon, Roast Inc., and St. Peters Arts. She was voted top ten mixed media artists in 2002 by Golden Key National Honor Society, and has been awarded honorable mention in juried shows. Her current body of work focuses on the effects nature and human beings have on one another. This work is stimulated by her encounters, along with her observations of others reactions to nature.
