Click image for full-size view After my military service and a brief experimenting with drawing and painting in 1982 I sort'a got distracted with the game of life. I reconciled with my interest in art in 2003, taught myself how to produce identical paintings of friends favorite photos and haven't put the brush down ever since. I am custom painting oil on canvas at very customer friendly prices, able to paint and combine more than one photo on one project. I was comissioned by a watercolor artist and others to reproduce color paintings of black & white photos from the early 1900's. From over 35 projects so far I haven't had a single regect. This started out as a hobby but seeing how much potential there is I'm zeroing in on becoming a pro.
It's May of 2009 & my art production has stalled. I painted my late brother-in law and his deceased mom along w/ a current living sister. (a complementary piece) After losing a day job I've redirected towards another career in IT Technology, got my A+ certification however, the economy is still sluggish & it just adds to the difficulty of attaining work...even in this field. I can't help but feel the "drive" to to re-focus my efforts on my true passion for art. I am considering extending to charcoal sketching and "abstract painting". I think I'm going to concentrate in some spiritual impressions. I remain in the need of faith and this could very-well be a way to possibly inspire others to find the truth. |
