A Little bit about myself: Originally a native of the Washington, D.C. area, I worked as a Gerontologist for seven years, before becoming a mother. I have served as Director of Care management for two geriatric care management firms. In addition, I provided consulting services for eldercare providers, as well as speaking engagements and continuing education for Estate Planners, Long Term Care Insurance Providers, Nursing Home Administrators, Nurses, Social Workers and the MS society.
Painting in my free time since 1999, I now reside in a historic little town on the west side of Cleveland, and work as an artist. Being an artist allows me to be at home with my young daughters, and taps into a part of me that was never utilized in my prior positions in the health care. I have been pleased with the positive response I have received on my work, and the personal and spiritual enrichment painting brings to my life.
My work is currently available at:
The Galleria, St. Clair Ave & 9th St. E, Downtown Cleveland, in the Artist's Review Today (ART) Gallery.
Mac Worthington Gallerie, N. High Street, Arts District, Columbus, Ohio
Artist’s Statement:
My work is uncomplicated, playful, fluid, and full of color. I start each new piece with a sketch, then build a painting by liberal application of various pigments with my hands, and with brushes. My artistic style and my life is inspired by my young daughters and from the enthusiasm of my patrons. Since being a mother, I find myself drawn to subjects involving nature and newness.
I have been priviledged to create a number of custom pieces for select clients. I strongly believe that art is for for everyone. I have available works on paper, giclees, and paintings that suit any budget from $25 to $3,000.
