Karen Gutfreund Art is a San Jose based art consulting business that assists in the acquisition and placement of art for corporations, architects, designers and individuals either through rental or sales. Owner Karen Gutfreund's gallery background includes working at MoMA NYC in the Painting and Sculpture Department, curator and consultant for three galleries, curating numerous exhibits for art organizations and working on the Board of Directors for Art Non-Profits. Her work in fine art and exhibit planning gives access to clients to more than 40 artists in a wide range of media.

Process:

Karen Gutfreund Art will begin with a site visit, to review the interior space to survey your space and work with you to develop a budget, if one is not already set. Next, they will help you determine your artwork preferences to develop the parameters of the style and placement of artwork.

We have a multitude of resources for artists to offer clients a wide range of artwork genres and cost effective selection of artwork, providing a unique balance of contemporary work that is diverse and interesting. The art showcases emerging and established artists from the Bay Area, California and beyond. Many artists can be commissioned to create art for site specific locations. In addition, new artists are considered on a continuous basis to offer the latest in contemporary works. Karen Gutfreund Art is a full service firm which provides framing and installation services.

Art Rentals

The rental program provides access to affordable fine art without the pressure of commitment. Talk to us about how you rent art for your home or office for the fraction of the price of a direct purchase.  Also our rent-to-own option is an excellent way for private collectors and businesses to furnish a space with original artwork. Whether you rent one piece or an entire exhibit, 50% of the rental fee is credited toward the purchase price.
