I am passionate about science and art. In both, I love the process of problem solving: the continual striving for a perfect design, be it a mathematical algorithm describing the behavior of a penguin, or the way that a giant fabric petal attaches to a giant metal flower structure. I know that a perfect design is not possible, but in reaching for one, I learn so much about so many different things, and am always becoming a better designer because of it.
