I have been taking photographs since my 20’s, when film was the only option available. It was a passion then and it is still a passion some 30+ years later. The difference, back then I had three small children, a husband and home to take care of and no time to think about what to do with my photography.
Now, my children are grown, have children of their own, some of which are also grown. I still have a husband and home to take care of, plus my other job, but I also have time for ME and Photography!!
It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I even thought to present my work to the public for purchasing. It was at that time an artist friend of mine saw my photos and was so taken with them he told me I needed to start promoting myself. Then my girl friend and so many others jumped on the band wagon that it wasn’t long before I was selling my work.
My interests are “birds of prey”, especially the eagles, landscape, floral and anything that may catch my eye. I am always trying to go “outside the box” and present works that will make you stop and look. I specialize also in a final product that is “metallic” and a must see by all. For me this is a replacement for black and white or sepia, which I am not particularly fond of. Professionals say that I am a color and texture photographer and they are right about that.
I have had works published in a table top coffee book, and been acknowledge for my work by professionals. Several pieces have been finalist in national photo contests also.
