Transformation
In
the Winter/Spring of 2011, I had the opportunity to spend some time in a
beautiful studio up in Harlem where I was stimulated by both the people and the
surroundings . The resulting body of work is "Transformation", as I
started to use forms of art which I had not tried before such as painting,
installation and even a performance piece. The artworks featured on this site
are the paintings, which I did on glass, and then made photograms of in the
darkroom, thus merging painting and photo.
I
am very inspired by the universe and its different energies. I believe that we
are all connected somehow and that the forces of nature are inherently linked
to the soul and therefore physical body. Much of my time is spent outdoors in
the presence of a fire, in the woods and looking at the stars or at the beach,
with people close to me. It is here that I find peace and am able to harness
the energies within me that drive me to create.
These works embody the creation of life in the universe and its constantly
evolving matter and energies.
