I make art because it was what I was meant to do. Starting at an early age I was always doing something creative, from ashtrays from the clay in my backyard to making recognizable figures with watercolors; art was my calling. I attended Columbus College of Art and Design for Saturday Morning Art School when I was just in the fifth grade, winning scholarships every year after, until high school. I went to Kent State University and received my bachelors in Fine Arts, in 2000. Shortly after graduation I moved to New York City to continue my pursuit. While there I became associated with an artist’s group, a gallery, and was able to have several shows. Though my direction has been on a four year hiatus, I have come back to this mission and I dream of the day of when I can make a living as a full time artist.
