As an artist, what are you waiting for?

As an artist, what are you waiting for? 12/8/06

As an artist, I always seem to be in transition. And I started thinking about how Advent was about transition. "In moments of life transitions we can tend to be discouraged with our present situations. We can become overwhelmed and withdrawn and forget that our worries or troubles are not representative of the long-term, but merely the short-term. We can limit ourselves by thinking of what can temporarily resolve our emotions instead of what can contribute to our well-being in the long run.
If you feel something in your heart, then you listen to what it tells you, sort through reason, and then seek what you are looking for. Sometimes people tend to stay in situations that do not benefit them because they are afraid of dealing with the conflict that will be created when they take action. This however is not something we can prevent. Transitions affect many lives', they are not limited to the person making the change. That is the bitter sweet beauty of changes. Bitter because we have to be strong enough to endure the change we are willing to make, and sweet because there is something else waiting for us, even if it is not always in our conscious awareness.

Life does have such a way of rewarding us. For every hardship we face, there will be a moment of glory. For every love lost, there will be a greater love in its place. This is the evolution of your life. Your goal is to not just achieve higher awareness in some areas of your life, but all. Your challenge is to face whatever stands in your way from you and your destiny. Do not ignore their call. Moments of clarity and awareness of your current living arrangements or lifestyles are there for a reason. You do not feel by accident. You feel by purpose.

And when you are in doubt, or when you feel hurt, just remember what you are waiting for."

Thank you Meilena Hauslendale
for your wisdom.

Get well Rosie, LeAnne, and Dawn.

I love you Mom.
