Okay.  A good friend suggested that I needed an abbreviated bio so...
Short story:
I love people.  I love taking photos.  It follows, then, that I love taking photos of people. :)

Longer story:
I've spent a good deal of my life trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, and though the specifics are still nebulous, I'm learning more and more about the simple act of pursuing my passions.
Simple. Not easy.
A convergence of circumstances in the last several months has brought a long-harbored love of photography to the 'fore, and what has been a hobby is metamorphosing into an avocation.  A voice of experience advised me to choose a genre.  After much consideration, I choose... people.  A broad choice, I know.  Still, every person has a story, and I find profound satisfaction in capturing images that offer a glimpse into the depth of the story.
At the moment, I'm especially inclined toward maternity and newborn portraiture.  Perhaps it's because, especially in the current climate of challenge and fear, having babies is the most fundamental expression of optimism.
Still, as you can see, I'm also enjoying picking up other stories in the middle.  Because, you know, there's always something.

What's your story?

Thank you for visiting.

Peace,
Lisa
