ARTIST: SUSAN HARTNETT LUTZ - As a child it was infinitely more fulfilling to express myself in visual images rather than the printed word. Growing up under the gray skies of Chicago I was influenced by the bold colors of the Impressionists and Expressionists at the Art Institute. Then in my early twenties I spent two summers working at Glacier National Park where I was mesmerized with the natural colors of nature. These colors rivaled any palette I had ever seen. The skies of California and Arizona have influenced my work. I have a vivid imagination and at times daydream when I paint. My art and strong faith have guided me through difficult losses in my life.
