This image is the result of an experiment in painting weathered wood by applying ultramarine blue and burnt sienna in hand wiped layers, adding black lines to indicate the lines between the boards and black ovals for the empty knot holes which accidently became a face. I added the angled and horizontal boards to make the composition more interesting, then I hung the fishing line, sinkers and shadows for a trompe d'oeil effect. It has a metal brass colored frame -- if you want it add $30.00. | |
