Click image for full-size view My Father was a ceramic artist and Mom took me to museums around the world. In high school I started working for ceramic sculptor and art teacher, Coeleen Kiebert. http://www.coeleenkiebert.com Coeleen introduced me to Jungian psychology and the study of the Creative Process. I continued my ceramic studies at the University of Oregon with Sana Krusoe and George Kokis. After getting my degree, I apprenticed at Helen Slater Design http://www.helenslaterdesign.com Helen influenced how I express line and color on functional pottery. In 2008, I began to organize events for the Santa Cruz Design + Innovation Center and started the YoungLoveCollective. YLC is a group of women who love to design new and interesting pieces, from jewelery to
wearables and ceramics. We are conscious of the materials we use,
utilizing natural, recycled or other high quality ingredients for our
designs. PRESS The Santa Cruz Sentinel 2.05.09
