Some New Work 12/30/08

I finally got it together to upload the last prints in each of my series.  I have added 9 new pieces mostly in the Antikythera and Golden Compass series.  I do most of the initial work on the printing press, but depending on the piece I work back into it with colored pencils, inks, oil pastels and sometimes a little paint. these last few have more of that after print work, and I think the colors really glow.  I am not sure what's next.... I have new collection of actual gears that I think may become the inspiration of some paintings, then from there get turned into prints.  I really like the shapes and textures they create.

I'll put up more new work a soon as I make some!!!!

News 10/29/08

Hey everyone!

I will have original artwork available for sale if you happen to be in the Boston area.  From November 19-23 I have a few pieces in the Inside Out Sale at the School of the Museum of Fine Art Scholarship sale.  I am an Alum and It is also where I currently do my printingmaking.

I will also be exhibiting and hanging out at the Fall Show for Newton Open Studios in Newton, MA (where I live) that is also the weekend of November 22 and 23. So stop by and Meet the Artist!  and buy stuff!  There will be many others there with all kinds of art, jewelry etc.  If you read this and come to the show introduce yourself, I'd love to meet you!

Great Stuff! Nice color selection. Do you have any photos of the work in progress?
