Artists and educators, Linda Hunter and Barbara Hersey, specialize in Commissioned Liturgical Art and Banners for any group or organization, Hands-on Art Workshops, and Presentations on the Creative Process as Spiritual Journey.
Drawing on their many years of teaching as well as their own experiences as visual learners, Linda and Barbara understand the importance of visual image in the learning process. Perhaps more importantly, when creating and viewing art, we are taken beyond words and find nourishment for our souls. The intersection of painting, spirit, and liturgy invigorates and enlivens the heart and enhances both worship and understanding.
While liturgical art for churches, synagogues, mosques, etc. is our specialty, we love the collaborative process and will tailor our business offerings to meet the needs of any school or organization.
Business Offerings:
- Commissioned Work - Long term consultation, design, and production of hand painted liturgical or fine art banners, framed paintings, prints, drawings, or mixed media works.
- Workshops of various length led by the artists on a theme or topic of the client's choice with participants having a hands-on experience and creating their own artwork. Our areas of expertise include but are not limited to:
- Creating art for a particular season of the church year, for example, the Stations of the Cross as a Lenten quiet day or evening event.
- Creating painted banners...The artists teach the process to and assist participants in the designing and production of banners for their own school, church, synagogue, mosque, etc. Select a theme that is right for your group or organization.
- Creating an art book/journal
- Presentations, Talks and Discussions led by the artists on the creative process involved in the making of liturgical art or any art related topic of the client's choice.
The educational experiences we offer include Powerpoint presentations and clear, user friendly instructions.
All of the above are available to any age group or ability.

Fees:
- Workshops and Presentations - negotiable rate per hour for each artist
- Commissioned Work- negotiable rate depending on supplies needed, workload, spatial considerations and assistance needed for installation.
