| | It was late summer 1988. I was at a friends house lamenting a recent break up and the hopeful prospect of a new love interest. On the radio Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child of Mine began playing. I got this image of one of the aliens from the movie Aliens playing that openning riff. I grabbed the nearest sheet of paper I could find and a ball point pen. I began drawing the image on the sheet of paper shading the drawing with a fine touch of cross hatch using the ball point pen. The great thing is, I finished this doodle before the song ended. Pretty darn quick! The drawing is over 20 years old and I still like it. 8x6" on grey note paper | | |
