| I first became passionate about art while in high school, when one small drawing on my bedroom wall developed into a full-scale mural based on an urge to surround myself with a ficticious world. As a younger child, I was inspired by the bright lights, posters, and theater of NYC where I spent time visiting family, as well as the psychedelic band posters my parents had up in the house. I draw my love for bright colors and surrealistic imagery from those places. These days, I gain inspiration from daily life, music, day dreams, other artists, and my friends and family (many of whom I use as models). I was born and raised in Fairfax, where I currently live and work out of my home. I recently graduated from Sonoma State University where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. I am most intrigued by the blend between reality and imagination, and try to capture that fusion in my work.
