| Bonnie Woods studied Design and Art History at the University of Houston and Advertising Art and Journalism at the University of Oklahoma. At UCSD, Bonnie earned a Professional Certificate in the Arts. She has studied with leading watercolor instructors including Charles Reid, Milford Zornes, Alex Powers, and Carla O’Conner.
Bonnie is a Signature Member of the San Diego Watercolor Society and a member the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, the American Watercolor Society in New York, the California Watercolor Society, the Art Institute of San Diego and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.
Bonnie’s artwork has been shown in galleries, shows and exhibitions on a regular basis for over 20 years. Her paintings can also be found in the collection of hotels, corporations and private collections. Her work has appeared in Watercolor Magic, San Diego Home and Garden and Sketchbook magazines. | Searching through my sketch book
Today I spent some time searching my sketch book for different ideas. Different kinds of collage paper can add a tremendous amount of interest to ordinary sketches.
By limiting your color palette, to no more than three colors, the piece is balanced. The outcome is that you have a more cohesive blending of the original sketch with the collage paper.
