With a serious love of art and at the young age of seventeen, Isa Karina set out on an adventure to New York City that would eventually land her in the world of cake. After obtaining her Fine Arts degree with a focus in painting from the School of Visual Arts in 2007, her creative vision and aesthetic passion drove her to transition into the confectionary world.
Her artistic skills and strong design sense, as well as her keen eye for all things beautiful led her to become a cake artist within a year of discovering the field. After a brief internship, she soon became a senior decorator for a specialty cake shop in Long Island. She later became production manager of this shop.
Her meticulous attention to detail and her thorough understanding of sugar media have resulted in the creation of countless tiered designs and sculpted cakes alike that inspire joy and excitement as the centerpieces of many a celebration. |
