| One of life’s important lessons…”Listen to your body because eventually, as much as we deny its wishes, the body will have its way.” Cyndy Baran’s lengthy journey to art-making is testament to this truth.
Although she demonstrated an interest in art at an early age, such “nonsense” wasn’t encouraged for this Midwestern farm girl. So, suppressing her artistic itch, Cyndy pursued a business career in Human Resources. However, after numerous relocation's and years of corporate ladder climbing, the creative itch returned. For those not familiar with “the itch”, it is the body’s way of communicating with our brain telling us that something isn’t right with our physical and emotional world.
So in 2001 after 25+ years in the business world, Cyndy left the comfort of her corporate career to pursue her creative ambitions, first in Interior Design and then in Fine Art. She has studied Fine Art at Watkins College of Art&Design in Nashville, TN and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. She... |
